Quick Start
OpenScaler Kubernetes is a fully managed Kubernetes service that gets you up and running fast. It features a managed control plane and seamless load balancer integration out of the box — with plenty more powerful capabilities coming soon.
Creating a Kubernetes Cluster
Navigate to the Kubernetes Cluster Creation Page
Head over to OpenScaler Platform and select "Kubernetes" from the sidebar, then click on the "Create" button.
Choose a Region
Select a datacenter location for your Kubernetes cluster (e.g., "Algiers"), all cluster nodes will be deployed in the selected region. Learn more about Regions.
Tip
Pick a region close to your target users for better performance.
Choose a VPC Network
Choose a VPC network to connect your Kubernetes cluster to, all cluster nodes will be given a private IP within the selected VPC network. Learn more in VPC Networks.
Things to note
If you don't have a VPC network, a default one will be created for you
If you don't select a VPC network, your cluster will be assigned to your default VPC network of the selected region
Choose Type and Size
Select a type and size that matches your cluster's workload requirements. Each option offers different combinations of CPU, RAM, and storage (as well as other factors). Keep in mind that your selection will affect the price of your cluster. For detailed information, see Kubernetes Types.
Choose number of nodes
Choose the number of nodes you want to deploy in your cluster. You have two options:
You specify the exact number of nodes you want to deploy.
Name Your Cluster
Choose a name for your cluster, or press one of the auto suggest buttons to get one generated for you.
Note
As of 19 March 2025, this will also be used to generate the all the node hostnames, so it must be lowercase and contain only alphanumeric characters or hyphens.
Choose Kubernetes Version
Choose the Kubernetes version you want to deploy your cluster with.
Tip
Version labeled with icon are optimized for faster creation time!
High Availability
Coming soon Kubernetes High Availability helps keep prevent downtime by duplicating important control plane components, ensuring that if one fails, the others can take over.
Finalize and Create
Check your summary, if all is set, hit the "Create" button. Your cluster will be up and ready in a few seconds!
Next Step
Access Your Cluster
Once your cluster is created, there's a few more things to get access to your cluster.
