Quick Start
OpenScaler Load Balancer is a service that allows you to distribute traffic to multiple servers, and it's a core component of any scalable and reliable infrastructure.
Creating a Load Balancer
Navigate to the Load Balancer Creation Page
Head over to OpenScaler Platform or select "Load Balancer" from the sidebar, then click on the "Create" button.
Choose a Region
Select a datacenter location for your load balancer (e.g., "Algiers"). Learn more in Regions.
Decide Load Balancer Visibility
If you intend to use the load balancer for external/public access, select "Public".
If you intend to use the load balancer for internal access (e.g. for database servers), select "Private".
Things to note
If you select "Public", the load balancer will be accessible from the internet.
Choose a VPC Network
Choose a VPC Network to connect your load balancer to.
Choose a Load Balancer Plan
Select one of the available plans (e.g., "Standard") depending on your needs.
Name Your Load Balancer
Give your load balancer a name.
Note
This will also be used as the hostname of the load balancer, so it must be lowercase and contain only alphanumeric characters or hyphens.
Create Your Load Balancer
Click the "Create" button to create your load balancer.
